Chicken Liver and Bacon Pate
A tasty way to eat nutrient dense liver....
So here is my family friendly Chicken Liver and Bacon Pate, called Bacon sauce when the kids are about.
They love it!
1 medium onion
200g organic chicken livers, washed and cut
2 small gloves garlic
1 teaspoon djion mustard
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon lemon
4 tablespoons coconut cream
Salt/pepper to taste
In a frying pan place 50g of butter, garlic, bacon and chopped onion.
Saute for 5-8 minutes until the onions are clear.
Add in the chicken livers and the rest of the butter. Simmer on a low heat until the livers are cooked. Approx 5 minutes.
Place into a kitchen blender and add the rest of the ingredients.
Blend until smooth.
Pour into a container and once cooled store in the fridge.
